What we collect

Information you give us. When you call, email, message us through the site or a social channel, or request a quote, we collect what you share: your name, phone number, email address, company, the machine you’re interested in or selling, and shipping location.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we log basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring site. We use cookies and similar tools for site function, caching, and analytics (see Cookies below).

We do not collect payment card numbers through this website. Purchases are arranged directly with our team, and any financing is handled by the lender you choose (for example Currency, a Sandhills Global company) under their own privacy policy.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry, quote a machine, or arrange inspection, trucking, and delivery.
• To match buyers and sellers, which is our business.
• To send you information about machines you asked about. We do not send bulk marketing email unless you ask for it, and you can opt out any time.
• To keep the site working, measure how it’s used, and protect it from abuse.

Who we share it with

We share your information only when needed to do the job you asked for: with the seller or buyer of a machine you’re dealing on, with trucking and inspection companies you ask us to arrange, and with service providers that run our website, email, and analytics (for example our web host, Google, and Meta for social pages). We do not sell your personal information.

Our listings also appear on third-party marketplaces such as Machinery Trader, Forestry Trader, Google Shopping, and Facebook Marketplace. If you contact us through one of those platforms, that platform’s privacy policy also applies.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for basic function (caching, remembering compare selections), for analytics (Google), and for social sharing buttons. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work but some features may not.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and transaction records as long as needed to complete a deal and meet our legal and accounting obligations, generally up to seven years. Website logs are kept for a shorter period.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing Mark@laxtonequipment.com. We’ll respond within 30 days. If you are a California resident you have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we collect and to request deletion; we do not sell personal information.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable steps to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send us sensitive financial details by email.

Children

Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
